Chuck. Hinners has more than thirty years experience in helping companies design, finance, and implement executive retirement plans and related benefits. He joined The Todd Organization in 2004 and consults with many businesses to help them recruit, retain and reward their key executives. Chuck is a Registered Investment Advisor with his own independent consulting firm, Compensation Resource Group (CRG).
Chuck began his career in 1974 as an agent for a large insurance company after practicing tax law with a law firm in Madison, Wisconsin. He was affiliated with The Todd Organization in Chicago from 1984 through 1987, when he and a partner established CRG. Today CRG continues to advise business owners on business succession and compensation issues including the proper use and financing of Employee Stock ownership Plans—ESOPs.
Chuck has authored several articles and books. Some of his most recent publications include Chapter 5 of The ESOP Answer Book, Aspen/Panel Publishers, (2006) and Chapter 19 of The Life Insurance Answer Book, Aspen/Panel Publishers (2003)
Chuck served as the editor of the Business and Compensation Newsletter published by Society of Financial Service Professionals from 1998 to 2002. He also publishes, Resource Report, a quarterly newsletter for CRG. He has been publishing this newsletter continuously since 1989.
Chuck received a BBA in Real Estate in 1969 and a Law Degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1973. He is currently a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Madison Estate Council and the Chicago Estate Planning Council.
Chuck and his wife Susan live in Madison Wisconsin. His son Chas works with him at CRG.
